ATTENTION: This site is no longer being updated. Please do not send any notifications of mistakes, corrections, or omissions, as these will be ignored. Thanks!

This site includes contributions from several people, so please check the page you were just at to see if it has an author. If not, it's probably Xelloss. ^_^

Site maintainers:

Please read before e-mailing:

In response to the number of e-mail messages about the site, I ask that you please breeze through this list of common complaints:
I don't know magic.
From now on, anyone who e-mails me wanting to know how to put a curse on someone in real life will have their e-mail posted on this site for all to see. I don't know any kind of magic in real life, and I figured the page-long disclaimer to that point on the magic page would be indication enough, but I still manage to get e-mails about it somehow, so from now on, if you skip this disclaimer, everyone'll know it. ^_^
You misspelled so-and-so and such-and-such.
A lot of times, I stick with the spelling I feel looks the best and accurately represents the intentions of the author. This leads to Amelia, when the Japanese spelled it Ameria, and Zelgadiss, when the Americans spell it Zelgadis. The long and short of it is - if you don't like the way we spell something, spell it however you want, but we're not going to change it.
The spell chant is wrong.
This is an extension of the above. If the professional subtitlers can't use the same translation of a spell from episode to episode, I can't be expected to include all of them either. :) If there are glaring problems with the particular translation, feel free to say so, but if it's just a different way of saying the same thing, it's not going to get changed.
Can you make a copy of (fill in the blank) for me?
Not right now. I don't have very good VCR's, and my copies of Slayers are even worse quality, usually ^^;
When are you going to update the site?
The answer to this question will always be some permutation of "later," no matter how nicely you ask. All of us working on the site are currently mired in classwork, which means that site updates should be considered a blessing rather than an apology for slackness. Now, if we got paid to do this, that would be an entirely different matter. This doesn't mean we're not open to specific requests for updates, though. ^^
Is there/will there be a new/fourth season of Slayers?
No. There might be later, but if we EVER find news of this, it'll be spraypainted all over the site. Really. :)
Is there anything I can email you about?
No.

Seriously, if you want to write an email that doesn't fall into any of the above categories, go ahead and ask, but the site will not be updated any more. If it does get updated, well, it's a fluke, or something was glaringly wrong.

Xelloss

Known in real life as Andre Germain, Xelloss is the primary site maintainer. Whereas before, he wrote most of the material himself, the job has now been delegated to several other people as well. Andre's personal site is also hosted at Maison Otaku, at http://www.maison-otaku.net/~xelloss/.

ATTENTION: Please read the disclaimer before emailing. Again, this site is no longer being updated, so please don't send anything telling me something's missing. E-mail all other inquiries to slayersuniverse@hotmail.com . Thanks!

Yuu-chan

(For questions not pertaining to the novels, please contact Xelloss instead.) Yuu-chan's got all the Slayers novels and has graciously volunteered to write plot synopses for those of us who don't know Japanese quite so well! He's also been providing background information on the more subtle aspects of Slayers which aren't expounded on in the anime.

Lina Inverse

(For questions not pertaining to the novels, please contact Xelloss instead.) Lina had been helping out with the site as well, specifically in the areas of summaries and keeping me (Xel) straight on the little quirks and nuances of the magic. Lina, another Maison Otaku member, is the one who registered the www.inverse.org sitename for us! Lina's website is http://lina.inverse.org, appropriately enough, and can be reached via email at lina@inverse.org.
