"Shiawase wa itsumo jibun no kokoro ga kimeru" My host mother in Japan gave this postcard to me as a parting gift. I didn't think much of it at the time, but she really knew me well. This is one of the most prophetic things anyone's ever told me, at a time when I really needed some guidance to set me straight. This gift did so, basically summing up my entire experience in Japan. "Happiness is always decided by one's own heart." |
